My Summer Home

Oh, what a fabulous week I have had. I met up with some old fiends at my beach home.

While I was there various friends and family members came and I thought I might share some photos with you all.

This shot was a moment when Zachariah thought he had come up with a new plan for his next gold panning trip. He was convinced that in the forest there had been gold that had been overlooked. (He also had been into the Wild Turkey)

My sister Mable was also on hand doing readings with her crystal ball. It was so great to see her and she informed me that I would be visiting distant lands and switching up the top hat for a turban...temporarily.
We also were blessed by a visit from our dear cousin Marvin. He tends to have short visits with us and hits the town. Most of the nights he was there, he didn't return until just before sunrise. We were wishing for more time with him.

Another couple of relatives that we were excited to see, were our youngest siblings the twins. Although they were quite thin, we still celebrated Hoo Doo style. It doesn't take much for those two to be rolling around in the grass laughing.
It has been so long since we have all been together, but such a visit.
All in all, the reunion was great fun.

The next day the women in town were talking about Zachariah's exploits. He has the tendancy to put people into locked quarters. It is great fun though to taunt them and throw eggs. Those towns people didn't know what hit them after our trip. It is a good thing that our visits to the summer house aren't that often. Especially with Marvin's antics. There were some investigations of disapearances that occurred after we left. You may have seen them in the news. Need to put some space between us and the drama.

So, back to my hat I flew in my other hat. Need to dry up...too much Wild Turkey isn't always a good thing.

Quote for the day, "a snake is like a sock."

regards,

Horatio J Hoo Doo

Open for Business!

Today I would like to announce the opening of a new shop that is of a distant relative. Unfortunately, the creep spends his days playing guitar in the middle of the shop with his tan face and beach boy blonde hair. I was slightly annoyed that he was not wearing a hat when we talked.

The Great Hoo Doo also attended a party last night. It was a Birthday party and since as my hobby I create wedding cakes, I decided to volunteer my services. My good friend Zachariah was there to help in the process and together we decided to call the cake "Ninja's Attack." Fortunately, part of our kinship is expressed in our cake making abilities.

Enjoy!

A Magician Friend

This good friend of mine and I met up again recently at a magician's convention.

We had a long discussion of our frustrations of how the younglings take for granted the dark arts. How the times have changed.

After we stocked up on enchanted velvet, we decided to have some dinner. While we were out we reminisced about our youth, putting those who teased us into other realms. I had tears in my eyes I was laughing so hard.

So the thought or topic to ponder today is, why don't men wear hats in any more?

The tears of a clown

I was walking out of my hat house today, when suddenly I felt a small object hit me in the back of my neck. I quickly turned and there she was.
I started to run, but I realized it was a cousin to one of the dolls from Barbarella. Fortunately, without the metal teeth. She was throwing pebbles at me and even though she made contact with one, her aim was horrible.
Amy was her name. I am still confused about the attack, but I think it relates to her lacking a hat and jealous feelings towards me and my fabulous hat home, hat friends and hat band.
I took out my magic wand and cast a spell.
She vanished and I am a bit confused as to where I sent her. All I know is DON'T MESS WITH MY HATS.

The Poor Trodden Magician

My dear audience,

I hope you can forgive me. The Great Hoo Doo has been grieving. It seems that a large carpet in the sky tipped my top hat house and my internet connection was down.

Fortunately, the construction crew has left and I am free to roam in purple silk again.

So now, that I am back...the thought for the day....

Why do people bother honking at red lights? It really makes no sense. Fortunately, I carry a dozen eggs in my hat coaster for just such an occasion.
